IMEX Frankfurt 2023 stand and partners

Last week (23rd May - 25th May) the VisitScotland Business Events team and thirteen Scottish partners attended and exhibited at IMEX Frankfurt, the largest trade show of its kind in Europe, attracting thousands of representatives from the global meetings, events and incentive travel industry.

Across the three event days more than 400 appointments were held on the Scotland stand with our partners.
The VisitScotland team hosted several destination presentations, which, as part of the destination's Journey to Change campaign, allowed visitors to understand how their events can contribute to making the world a better place by incorporating initiatives that put people and our planet first.
The presentations showcased the sustainability credentials and efforts of Scotland's venues, hotels and destinations; the activities and incentives that can be incorporated into events that put delegates at the heart of local communities; as well as our country's rich culture and fascinating history.
There was also a surprise virtual appearance from Edinburgh-based charity, The Green Team, courtesy of a personalised video for visitors to IMEX Frankfurt which detailed how organisers can work with them to provide CSR-led incentives and leave a legacy in Scotland.
During the event we hosted the LGBT Meeting Professionals Association at our Scotland reception, hosted a reception for the Events Industry Council and attended a number of sessions and events, including the PCMA reception, The Global Forum for National Convention Bureaux, the IMEX Gala Dinner and the IMEX Policy Forum.

The next IMEX show will take place at The Mandalay Bay Hotel, Las Vegas from 17th to 19th October 2023.
