VisitScotland Business Events and Scottish partners at CHS Leeds 2023

The VisitScotland Business Events team and seven of its partners showcased at the 12th edition of CHS Leeds, which took place at the Royal Armouries Museum, 25 April. Event buyers, agents, venue finders and PAs from all over the UK attended the 12th edition of the one-day industry event.
Numerous appointments and walk-ins took place on our pavilion, in which the following partners were showcased:

Destination Brunch Session
VisitScotland Business Events sponsored this year's intimate Destination Brunch Session, in which Theresa Steven, our Business Development Manager, UK&I, hosted more than 40 buyers.
Theresa began by outlining the country's sustainable venues and how VisitScotland can support prospective event planners in bringing their events to Scotland and, with a focus on ensuring events leave a positive social impact.
Laura van der Hoeven joined the brunch as a guest speaker, delivering an insightful presentation which focused on the important work being done by the Cyrenians, a homeless charity based in Scotland.
Laura discussed the voluntary work the organisation undertakes to support people living in poverty and how the team provides opportunities for young people to gain work experience and seek support when family life is challenging.
One such story was that of Alex, a young person whose family recently received support from the charity. Alex's story, delivered by video, portrayed the difference that can be made by people donating their time and money to helping the homeless in Edinburgh.
Reviewing the show, Theresa Steven, said: "It is always great to return to CHS Leeds. Alongside our Scottish partners we had a successful day of appointments and networking. CHS Leeds is a fantastic opportunity to catch up with industry friends and make new contacts.
