Head of Business Events

Neil is in charge of the strategic direction of business events at a national level. He works closely with our city conventions bureaus, the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise and other public sector agencies to firmly align business events with Scotland's ambitions.

Rory Archibald

Rory Archibald 

Senior Business Events Manager

Rory is responsible for driving the strategy for VisitScotland Business Events across all markets as well as overseeing marketing and PR for the department. Rory directs signature strategies across the team including the Business Events Government Engagement Framework, the Policy Driven Model and the Transformation Protocol, ensuring that every event has positive impact across Scotland's communities, academia, growth sectors, third sectors and government policy.

Senior Corporate & Incentive Manager - the Americas

Richard develops strategic communications and engagement platforms across North and South America with the aim to position Scotland at the top of mind with agencies, media and corporate clients alike. He develops a wide range of engagement platforms to fit the Scottish industries needs across sales, events and media.

Emma is responsible for managing corporate and incentive business events from Southern UK & Ireland with a key focus on strategic sectors. She develops engagement platforms for third party agencies, corporate planners and decision makers to generate enquiries and confirmed business which can tie-in to the sector driven approach.

Marketing Manager

Marios is leading on the creation and implementation of VisitScotland's Business Events marketing strategy; including activation across all key markets and alignment with policy driven strategy and messaging. Also, lead on the creation and management of brand standards across all client and stakeholder touch points.

Sian Williamson 

Assistant Manager - Associations & Sectors

Sian is assisting to bring national and international association conferences to Scotland. Sian's wider role within the team involves the implementation of sales activity, researching association congresses and working with Scottish industry and key sector organisations. She is also supporting with the administration of the National Conference Bid Fund.
