What is it?

The Transformation Protocol is a unique initiative led by VisitScotland Business Events that connects business events coming to Scotland with national partner organisations.

This initiative enables business events' organisers to connect with a wide variety of organisations and policy makers including our national Innovation Centres, academic research units, third sector groups, leading industry bodies, Scottish government agencies, investment groups and Scottish Government directorates.

Business Events have the power to transform and create social and economic change. The Transformation Protocol can enable new connections and partnerships to make that possible.

For Scottish Business Events Industry

Every year Scotland hosts hundreds of business events - association conferences, corporate meetings, and incentive events. Scotland is a fantastic host country with an outstanding international reputation for the quality and professionalism of events we organise.

Scotland's success is in no small part down to the incredible academic strength we have across all of our cities, and the award-winning work undertaken by our convention bureaus, universities, and key venues to work together and with those academics to attract events to Scotland. Built on these foundations Scotland will continue to be a key destination for events for years to come.

If your clients have a focus and a need for legacy and impact, then get in touch and find out if our Transformation Protocol partners can help.

For Scottish Organisations

The opportunity for partner organisations is huge. Through the Transformation Protocol we are proposing to create connections between your organisations and the most senior levels of European and International membership organisations and professional bodies.

Associations are the life blood of so many professions, and vital repositories of knowledge and learning. Where these new connections might lead will be different for every opportunity, but we do know that there is a wealth of opportunity to be seized, for Scottish organisations to internationalise, attract investment, to start new projects and to share Scottish expertise to new audiences.
