Scotland is leading the way when it comes to creating immersive experiences that create positive outcomes for local communities.

Incentive travel and events  become more than opportunities to inspire and engage delegates. They become powerful catalysts for positive and lasting socio-economic impact in the host community.

Community craft in Dundee

For example, you can learn traditional craftsmanship in a unique, hands-on experience with Dundee Community Craft CIC. Here you’ll design, create, and take home your own bespoke piece of jewellery, helping you to ‘switch off’ and feel energetically revived whilst being immersed in local storytelling.

Dundee Community Craft CIC was established in collaboration with local residents in response to the city’s ongoing challenges with poverty and poor mental health. The organisation uses craft and design as tools to build resilience, boost confidence, and develop skills for those facing adversity.

Protecting land and sea in Dunoon

Or experience breath-taking wilderness and adventure on a boat tour with Wreckspeditions. Launching from the beautiful town of Dunoon, only one hour from Glasgow, see stunning landmarks, islands, shipwrecks, lighthouses, piers and more. Plus, a huge array of wildlife, from porpoise, dolphins, seals, birds of prey, and even the odd whale!

Wreckspeditions help to secure the planet for future generations. They work with Ghost Fishing UK to clear lost fishing gear from the sea and donate any items to local fisherman for repurposing, in turn supporting the local economy. They organise beach cleans locally and help to monitor marine life, assist with animal rescues and collect important data on marine life habitats and species.

Turn Celebration into Inspiration

Recognising performance can do more than celebrate, it can spark innovation and align people with a greater purpose. In Scotland, incentive experiences go beyond the expected. Think immersive journeys that inspire fresh thinking, connect with local changemakers, and support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From visionary cities to wild landscapes and grassroots initiatives, Scotland offers incentive travel that leaves a legacy.

Here’s a glimpse at how some stops on your itinerary might look and why they’ll resonate long after the journey ends:

Storytelling and impact in Edinburgh

Edinburgh is a city of activism and ideas, and this is encapsulated by a visit to the Scottish Storytelling Centre, where history is told through a global lens. Then walk the streets with Invisible Cities, guided by people who’ve experienced homelessness and who can share powerful stories of resilience and hope. At the Grassmarket Community Project, lunch comes with a side of impact: this is where training programs and social enterprise come to life. Later, delegates can connect with technology and sustainability innovators at CodeBase, the UK’s largest tech hub. Recharge overnight at The Scott Hotel, a Green Tourism-certified stay with local roots.
