  • Perthshire's Fortingall Yew Tree is believed to be the oldest tree in Britain and one of the oldest in all of Europe.
  • Scotland's oldest established family record shop, Concorde Music, is in Perth.
  • The River Tay, which flows from Loch Tay to Perth and beyond, is Scotland's longest river.
  • Scone Palace in Perth, was the original home of the Stone of Destiny. Historically, this was an integral part of tradition when crowning Scottish Kings. The stone now lives on display in Edinburgh Castle, but a replica can still be seen at Scone Palace.
