VisitScotland Business Events launched its inaugural publication, Journey to Change Magazine.
Ahead of this year's show, VisitScotland Business Events launched its inaugural publication, Journey to Change Magazine. Tailored for international trade shows, the digital magazine highlights Scotland's remarkable strengths as the premier choice for hosting business events. Specifically crafted for IMEX Frankfurt 2024, this first edition celebrates Scotland as a leading destination for business events and its culture.
Alongside the on-stand activity, including our destination presentations and our Scotland reception, Convention Edinburgh and the Scottish Event Campus presented deep dives into their destination and Net Zero Roadmap respectively. With an array of off-stand parallel activity, Glasgow Convention Bureau unveiled its latest initiative, the Glasgow Conference Impact Network to a global audience.
The ground-breaking project is a collaborative effort aimed at maximising the positive long-term impacts of academic conferences hosted within its borders. This pioneering endeavour, spearheaded by the Glasgow Convention Bureau in partnership with the Glasgow Science Festival, has united a diverse array of stakeholders, including academic institutions, charities, and conference venues.
All the major players in the business events global industry were in attendance, allowing us to engage with key buyers from around the world.
Speaking on this year's event, Lindsay Neilson, Senior Corporate & Incentive Business Development Manager, VisitScotland Business Events said: "IMEX remains a pivotal event for VisitScotland Business Events, consistently delivering very strong outcomes.
"All the major players in the business events global industry were in attendance, allowing us to engage with key buyers from around the world, notably Europe and North America, and showcase Scotland's exceptional offerings for business events. The stand was bustling every day; we even managed to hold a mini ceilidh as well as productive appointments for us and our Scottish partners. We look forward to seeing the longer-term opportunities they bring to Scotland."
Next month the team will head to The Meetings Show, which takes place at ExCeL London from the 19-20 June 2024.
