VisitScotland Business Events launches a new podcast series, VisitScotland Presents: COP26 and the Journey to Change, which explores key discussion areas from the COP26 Presidency Programme and how business events can act as drivers for change.

The podcast series is part of VisitScotland Business Events’ latest campaign, Journey to Change, which is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development goals and demonstrates the impact that business events can have in helping to tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges.

VisitScotland presents: COP26 and the Journey to Change comprises 16 episodes focusing on topics including energy, nature, travel and equality and brings together a wide range of experts from across Scotland’s growth sectors, venues and from global associations and organisations including:

  • Malcolm Roughead OBE, CEO, VisitScotland
  • Sherrif Karamat, CEO, PCMA
  • Jonathan Heastie, Portfolio Director – Energy & Marine at RX (Reed Exhibitions)
  • Amy Calvert, CEO, Events Industry Council
  • Ben Goedegebuure, Enterprise VP, Global & Industry Presence, Maritz Global Events
  • Sven Bossu, CEO, International Association of Convention Centres

The podcast series explores some of these key areas, looking at how the sector can be a catalyst for change and transform the future of not just our industry but wider communities.”

The first 4 episodes of the podcast are now available to listen to on BusinessEvents.Scot, SoundCloud and Apple Podcasts (VisitScotland’s ”100,000 Welcomes” profile). The remaining 12 episodes will be released daily during COP26 which takes place 31st October – 12th November at the SEC in Glasgow.
