Dear friends and colleagues

I hope that you are all keeping safe and well, and finding time to enjoy some good weather, wherever you may be.

Since our last email, things have continued to move quickly, both here and around the world. With some easing of the lockdown restrictions, and the hope of more to come, we are beginning to see some long-awaited green shoots of a revival for our industry.

We all welcomed the recent news from our First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, that hotels, restaurants, bars, museums and galleries can now reopen in July across Scotland, joining shops and golf courses that also recently reopened. Last week also saw the announcement from Gleneagles, and several other of our iconic hotels, of their intention to also reopen on 15th July to guests. We expect more to follow, and we hope to see all of our other venues opening very soon.

We are always thrilled with the enthusiasm and interest in holding business events here in Scotland, and while we know it's going to take a little time, we will continue to share with you the incredible potential that Scotland has to create something truly magical for your next event. Whether it's one of our stunning hotels, unique venues, castles, crypts or conference centres, we have been preparing for your return, and working hard to make sure that you and your delegates feel safe, secure and have the best possible experience here in Scotland.

Over the past few months, we have all missed visiting the places we love. And, as we prepare to welcome you back, my amazing team and I are with you every step of the way, and you will continue to have all of the support that we can provide.

Stay safe and I look forward to welcoming you to Scotland as soon as you are ready.
