Daniel Broby, Director of the Centre for Financial Regulation and Innovation at Strathclyde Business School.

Daniel Broby is a leading academic in the field of Financial Technology "Fintech". He is a Director of the Centre for Financial Regulation and Innovation at Strathclyde Business School. His research interests in that respect focus on crypto-currencies, market operational efficiency and the timestamping of blockchain financial instructions. His other research interests revolve around financial time series and the regulation of capital markets. He has pioneered research into using blockchain and distributed ledgers, and their applications in the Fintech ecosystem and distributed marketplaces. Daniel's research has an through grounding in Financial Market Theory albeit focused on practical application.

Alex Ford, VP Operations at encompass corporation.

In a journey that has taken her from Sydney to Scotland, Alex Ford has been a driving force within leading FinTech/RegTech company encompass corporation since it’s early days in 2012. In 2015 she relocated to Glasgow when encompass launched in the UK, to take on a leadership role in the establishment of the UK operation. Now, as an exec team member and Vice President of Operations, Alex is focussed on successful delivery of products and services to encompass customers and partners across the globe. In 2017 Alex was recognised in the ‘Women in FinTech Powerlist’ which celebrates women shaping FinTech in the UK. She is regularly invited to share the encompass story and lessons-to-date at events; recently the Global Expansion Summit, Innovate Finance Global Summit WebCast, Legal Geek’s Women in LawTech, Tech Australia 2017 event as part of London Tech Week.

Loral Quinn, CEO & Founder, Sustainably.

Loral is CEO and co-founder of Sustainably, a fintech for social good startup, making it easy for businesses and consumers to have a positive impact in connected and frictionless ways, as part of everyday life. Sustainably won Best of Show at Finovate and is a top 5 Virgin Startup. Loral is an award winning global digital marketer and strategist with a background in scaling business. Before setting up Sustainably, she was head of digital strategy and head of digital marketing for a FTSE100 where she was responsible for digital marketing in 30 countries, building and managing a multi award-winning team, and scaling the business from $40bn in assets in 6 countries to over $400bn in 30 countries in 10 years. She was recently named in BIMA’s top 100 people in digital in the UK.
